Fall Meeting Topics

  • Building High Performance Teams - A “Maximizing Team Effectiveness” survey, available to all members at no additional charge (normal cost is $1,500), will be the basis for this session. The survey instrument, which is completed by each member of the senior executive team, will quantify perceived strengths and weaknesses in eight specific dimensions or components of “teamwork.” Clearly, building a “high-performance team” is a critical success factor for any CEO. Cass Bettinger (Cass Bettinger & Associates) will lead this session.

  • Effectively Using Social Networking Tools for Marketing Your Bank - Kevin Tracey (Tracey Edwards Company) and Alan Weinkrantz (alanweinkrantz.com) will show how, when properly aligned with your brand, social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook can be used to effectively market your bank.

  • Key Financial Indicators - Chris Bledsoe (Bankers Dashboard) will lead a discussion of current financial indicators and how they can be used to monitor a bank’s progress and for planning.

Wednesday Sessions

  • 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. Current Credit Issues - Merrill Reynolds (Reynolds Williams) will lead a session dealing with insights on credit issues. Regulatory issues related to credit as well as insights into things that are often overlooked by bankers will be addressed. This will be a full morning session with opportunity for interaction.

  • 10:15 - 11:45 a.m. Factoring Issues & Opportunities - Brenda Standlee, President of American Prudential Capital, will lead a session dealing with current issues in the factoring industry, including: market segments to avoid, dealing with recent UCC changes, due diligence issues and dealing with debtor changes (e.g., name, location, ownership, etc.)
